Epik High member Tablo is fed up with Korea’s low album sales and illegal mp3 downloading.
Tablo has made his threats public stating that he no longer will make albums.
“Even if times have changed, it’s depressing to see that a whole year of hard work to create good music has no return,” said Tablo. “With the industry in it’s current state, there’s no point for me to make anymore albums.”

FT Island managed to bring home the “Asia’s Most Popular Artist Award” from Thailand’s music awards, Seed Awards yesterday. I’m not sure how FT Island won that title, especially with so many other k-pop boy-bands going abroad these days, but congrats to the five treasure boys.
And now the ambitious pretty boys are determined to branch out to Japan. FT Island will release their Japanese single on June 7th.

With Family Month in May and Adoption Day on May 6th, Super Junior helped to celebrate the pivotal 1st birthday (“Dohl”) for orphans at the Dong-Bang Welfare Center in Seodaemoon.
Some of the babys don’t seem to like the new temporary daddies.

Brown Eyed Girls member Ga-in recently interviewed James Blunt on Mnet ‘Pop Magazine‘.
During the interview, Ga-in presented James Blunt with a gift (a traditional Korean mask). James thanked her for both the gift and for being so friendly throughout the entire interview. James then told her that he’d give her a kiss for her friendliness. Ga-in, as well as the producers and staff, were all extremely surprised.
The interview finished with James Blunt saying, “After only seeing Korea through the ‘88 Olympics, it was nice having Koreans welcome me with smiling faces when I arrived.”

The 26 year old scooped up the Best Actress Awards last year for her role in the hit movie “200lb Beauty.” But this year, Kim A-joong, along with actor Ahn Sung-ki were chosen as the promotional ambassadors for the upcoming 45th Grand Bell Awards.
Thirty of the 52 films will be nominated for the Grand Bell Awards. Films for consideration are “The Chaser,” “Hwangjini” and “Beastie Boys.”
The 45th Grand Bell Awards will be held on June 27th, 2008 at the Coex Convention Center in Samsung-dong.

TVXQ expressed its gratitude to BoA during its “3rd LIVE TOUR 2008 ~T~” concert at the Saitama Arena last May 5.
Xiah expressed, “BoA was a pioneer in Japan. We want to thank her because we couldn’t have had our career in Japan if it weren’t for her. We don’t think we’re the best. There are still so many things we would like to try in the future.”
Max, the youngest in the group, also gave a piece of his mind to the thousands of fans in front of him and said, “It’s a mistake for us to be called as the pioneer (on Japan debut). Our seniors like H.O.T and BoA are the pioneers and we are just doing our best to respect the foundation they have laid.”
He continued, “As seniors, we would like to be a role model. It’d be great if other junior singers could build more achievements on the foundation.”
“In Korea, we also had good luck and we were able to meet a good staff and to receive lots of support. When we came to Japan, we had a frame of mind that we’re ‘rookie singers’. Even though we’re securely and continuously working our way up, we would like to think that we’re still ‘rookie singers’,” said U-Know.
